10.29.08 ntr south

Minds fully unraveled now we enter the south, 3D lenses shifting from rose to cyan to deep red to deep deep blue. Ohio met us with some wicked surprises, namely a live telecast of our cartoon show set in a chroma keyroom. In Pittsburgh we threw a pizza party in a wintery outdoor tent zone and then hunkered down below ground for a mysterious cellar show in Buffalo. Nuit Blanche welcomed us to Toronto with almost a million spectators in the streets that night, emptying the suburbs to roam the chilly city. Montreal opened up an even wider canadian welcome with a pop music festival embrace and our first taste of scarf weather.

Leaving Canada, our halfway point, we began our adventure south through the treacherous tipping point of no return. This included Peter poking his eye out with a fiberglass pole, vermont cartoon school cartoon party, lyme disease endangered mushroom hunts, attic ceiling showers, station wagon surgery, middle school assembly mania, italo disco birthday parties...... that was New England.

Rambling further down the coast in full-force cruise mode we made some sweet chalkboard animations with quick-lasting cartune students over the course of a week around our capital city and slingshot further past the mason-dixon line into the Church of Crystal Light's spinning nest of smoky southern comfort. Thank you Andrew Jeffrey Wright for the awesome hooliganship portrait on the church wall. Further south, further west from here.... home to Portland so soon.
